Before You Start

Who installs your cabinets?

Cabinets are sold by retailers and designers. They’re installed by specialists. If you’re planning a kitchen or a closet, knowing who does which part — and what to ask — makes the whole thing go better.

Selling and installing are two different trades

A retailer or designer helps you choose the product, takes the measurements and sets the schedule. The installation is carried out by a company that does nothing but installation — licensed, insured, with its own crews and its own standards.

That specialization is the point. Hanging a run of cabinets dead level on a wall that isn’t, scribing a filler to a crooked corner, getting every door gap consistent — that’s a trade people spend years getting good at.

What vetting actually means

National brands don’t hand their name to just anyone. Becoming an approved installation partner means licensing and insurance verification, background checks, and ongoing accountability for every job. Fall below standard and the work stops coming.

We’ve held approved installation partner status with national retailers for years, across six states. That vetting is independent of anything we say about ourselves — which is exactly what makes it worth something.

What to ask before day one

Whoever you’re buying from, these three questions tell you most of what you need to know:

Who we are

Persian Woodworking is a family-owned installation company based in Glenview, Illinois, serving Chicago and the north suburbs. More than 30 years, over 8,000 kitchen installations and 10,000 closet installations.

Kitchens, cabinet refacing, closet systems and garage storage. You can see the work in our portfolio.

Already bought your cabinets?

Plenty of people buy the product first and then look for someone to install it properly. We take those jobs. Call with what you have and the room dimensions and we’ll quote the installation on its own.

Common questions

Who installs cabinets bought from a retailer?
Specialist installation companies. Retailers handle the sale, the measure and the scheduling, then assign the installation to an approved company that is licensed, insured and vetted. It's the same model across the industry — installation is a trade of its own.
How do I find out which company will install my cabinets?
Ask the retailer. They can tell you which company is assigned to your job, and you're entitled to know before work begins. Then look that company up by name — how long they've been operating, their licensing, and what their own customers say.
Who installs cabinets and closets in the north Chicago suburbs?
Persian Woodworking is a family-owned installation company based in Glenview, Illinois, serving Chicago and the north suburbs. We've completed more than 8,000 kitchen installations and 10,000 closet installations over 30+ years, and we're an approved installation partner for national retailers across six states.
What should I ask before the installers arrive?
Which company is doing the work and how long they've been doing it; whether the same crew stays for the whole job; and who to call directly if something isn't right. A good installer answers all three without hesitating.
How long does a kitchen cabinet installation take?
A typical kitchen runs two to four days depending on size, layout and how level the existing walls are. Closet systems are usually one day. A full garage storage system can often be completed in a single day.
Will you install cabinets I already bought?
Yes. If you've already purchased cabinets, a closet system or garage storage, we install them as a standalone labor job. Call with what you have and the room dimensions and we'll quote the installation.
