Cabinets, slatwall, overhead racks and a real workbench — fitted to your garage and finished between morning and evening. Most jobs are done in one day and you park in it that night.
What goes in
A garage system is usually four things working together: wall-mounted upper cabinets for the stuff you want out of sight, full-height towers for tall items, slatwall for everything that hangs, and a workbench with drawers underneath.
The mix depends on how you actually use the space. A garage that stores bikes and sports gear needs more open slatwall. A garage that's really a workshop needs bench depth and drawer storage. We work that out on the walkthrough rather than selling you a package.
- Wall-mounted upper cabinets
- Full-height storage towers
- Slatwall panels with hooks, baskets and brackets
- Butcher-block or laminate workbench tops
- Drawer banks and base cabinets on adjustable steel legs
- Overhead racks for seasonal storage
Why one day matters
A garage is the one room where a renovation genuinely displaces you — everything that was in it is now on the driveway or in the yard. Dragging that over a week is miserable.
We plan around finishing in a day. The crew arrives with the full system, mounts everything, and cleans up. Your cars go back in that night.
Built for a garage, not a kitchen
Garage cabinets live in a space that swings from freezing to humid and gets hit with road salt, water and whatever rolls off a car. They need different hardware than a kitchen.
Base cabinets go on adjustable steel legs so they sit clear of the slab — off a wet floor, easy to sweep under, and level even when the concrete isn't. Slatwall is rated for real weight, so a loaded bike hook stays put.
Already bought a system?
Plenty of people buy a garage system and then discover that hanging it level on a block wall is harder than it looked. We install systems bought anywhere as a standalone labor job — send the product details and the garage dimensions and we'll quote the installation on its own.

Common questions
- How long does a garage storage installation take?
- Most garages are finished in a single day. Cabinets, slatwall and a workbench go in between morning and evening, and you can park in it that night. Larger garages or jobs that need electrical work can run into a second day.
- What does a garage storage system cost?
- It depends on how much wall you're covering and what goes on it. A single wall of cabinets with slatwall above is a different number than a full two-car garage with overhead racks and a workbench. We quote after seeing the space — measurements and a few photos are usually enough to get started.
- Can you install garage cabinets I already bought?
- Yes. If you've already purchased a system — from a retailer, a warehouse club, or anywhere else — we install it as a standalone labor job. Send us the product and the garage dimensions and we'll quote the installation on its own.
- What's the difference between slatwall and pegboard?
- Slatwall is a heavier PVC or MDF panel system with horizontal grooves that accept hooks, baskets and brackets rated for real weight. Pegboard is thin hardboard with holes. Slatwall holds more, looks better, and doesn't sag or tear out the way pegboard does under load.
- Do the cabinets sit on the floor?
- Base cabinets are mounted on adjustable steel legs, so they sit clear of the slab. That keeps them off a floor that gets wet, lets you clean underneath, and means a slightly uneven slab doesn't throw the run out of level.
- Which suburbs do you cover?
- Glenview, Northbrook, Wilmette, Winnetka, Skokie, Evanston, Morton Grove, Des Plaines, Park Ridge, Niles and the surrounding north suburbs, plus Chicago. We work across Illinois.
